Sharing In The Journey
Last week I went to a retreat for youth and family ministry workers. It was relaxing and informative. Jim LaDoux from Vibrant Faith Ministries was there. He had a lot of great things to say to help shape our ministry settings. One of the things I thought about while I was there was starting a blog focused on faith formation in the home, a more "professional" blog you could say. While I thought this was a great idea, I kept having hesitations. I will have to blog on a regular basis being the main one. But it's something I think the members of my church will benefit from, and who knows, maybe others will find it and it will help them. As I was driving away I was thinking of names for this new blog. What would I call it? I needed a title, something to get me started and set my focus. I stopped at a stoplight and the car's license plate in front of me was a North Carolina Blue Ridge Parkway tag and said, "Share the Journey." That's it! I scribbled it down on the back of a receipt and hoped it hadn't been taken on Blogger yet. When I got home, I looked it up. It had been taken. Bummer! I begin playing around with the wording and "Sharing in the Journey" was formed. Our faith life is a journey, all our lives woven together are one journey and we are sharing in that journey together. It's still a work in progress, but I invite you to check it out. It will be a place of personal faith musings, tips and ideas for parents and families, and whatever else I think up. I'd love your feedback, comments, and prayers as I embark on this new adventure in my ministry.
