On October 8 I rode 31.2 miles and raised $260 to fight against cancer. It was a beautiful day for a ride: sunny, cool weather, and lots of fun!
The first half of the ride I rode with a few ladies from around the area. We chatted a bit and took our time getting to the rest stop. The stop was at a horse farm, a beautiful place in the country. They provided lots of yummy energizing foods and drinks and motivational signs. After a few snacks, I rode away with the sounds of cowbells ringing in my ears (volunteers had them to motivate you along your way). When I got back to the cycle shop, the Hubby and Little Man were waiting for me. We enjoyed some yummy lunch provided by local restaurants. Then we went back to the hotel for a shower and packed up. On our way out of town we stopped by Great Harvest for myfree loaf of bread (provided to all riders)! For my training I would ride 2 to 3 days a week. I found a few new routs and enjoyed a few longer rides too. Much thanks to the hubby for watching Little Man while I trained for this ride.

I'm looking forward to the ride again next year!
